Use the Audio Authority Model 9879 wallplate with UniDrive,
DuoDrive, AVX-561-NR, AVX-562
and AVX-661-NR AVAtrix Distribution Systems,
9871 and 9880T Drivers, as well as all 1100
series Cat 5 Systems, such as the 1156 / 1166 AutoSelectors.
This receiver is designed to fit a standard single-gang electrical box, in conjunction with Decora-style
cover plates.
If you would prefer to have an enclosed stand-alone receiver, please check out this
item. You may also want to consider the stainless steel wallplate version.
Like most Audio Authority products, the model 9879 comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Cat 5 to HDTV Connection Wallplate (Single Gang)
Model 9879
Provides TV connection point for component video, coaxial digital audio, left/right analog audio,
and an IR receiver input. Both front and rear facing IR jacks. The 9879 Wallplate can be used with
the Audio Authority AVAtrix, SixDrive, DuoDrive or UniDrive.
Features:
- Includes DecoraŽ style inserts in white, ivory, and almond (Decora trim covers are not included)
- Cable length compensation adjustment allows the installer to fine tune image and sound quality
over long Cat 5 runs
- Front and rear facing IR jacks for external or in-wall IR connections
- Fits in a standard US single-gang wall box
- Compatible with: Models 1170BK, 1171, 1176, 9871, 9870, 9880, AVX-661, and AVX-561
The 9879 is one of three Cat 5 receivers compatible with the 1100 Series. Use any combination

** Caution ** Always correctly pair and terminate Cat 5 cables, and test pairing
and continuity before connecting power to the driver and Wallplate. Incorrect cable termination,
or plugging a cable into the wrong port can result in Wallplate damage.

Here is a closer look at the 9879 receiver unit. Looking at the RCA connections, starting at the top, in
the left column are connectors for Y, Pb, Pr component video, with the IR jack at the bottom. The
right column jacks are coaxial digital audio, analog left, and analog right. Notice that although the
receiver is shown here with a Decora trim cover, the cover is not included.
