The Audio Authority Model 09A65 converts high-definition Y/Pb/Pr component video on three RCA
jacks to RGB video on a VGA-style HD-15 connector
It accepts inputs from sources like standard and progressive scan DVD players, cable boxes, satellite
and terrestrial set top boxes, game consoles, HD VCRs, video processors, or any component video-enabled
source component. Switch-selectable output modes include RGBHV, RGBS, and RGsB.
This makes it an ideal choice for use with many CRT projectors, CRT computer monitors, LCD computer monitors,
plasma monitors, or just about any display device that needs an RGB input.
The 9A65 has a component video pass-thru output for connection of another 9A65, a component video display,
or video distribution amplifier. In addition, it has two RGB outputs, so two display devices may be
connected via VGA cable and/or VGA/RCA or VGA/BNC breakout cable.
Please notice that the 9A65 is not a format converter. It passes the horizontal and vertical synchronization
timings and pixel content to the outputs without modification. The display device must be able to
handle the resolution and signal timings output by the source component. For example, to use a 1080i
component video source in conjunction with a 9A65, the video display device must be able to accept a 1080i
RGB input resolution.
Editor's note: Audio Authority has included this disclaimer on their website:
"This product was designed to work with DVD players. Although there are other applications
where a product like this might be used (e.g. PVRs, satellite receivers, or video game consoles), the 9A65
may not work reliably in these other applications..."
