The Intelix DIGI-VGA-F makes it easy to send
skew-free high-resolution video and stereo audio to as
many as two
remote monitors, while still providing for local
monitor and audio connections. The DIGI-VGA-F
system transmits video at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, as
well as stereo audio, over a single standard Cat 5-style
cable. This professional-grade device uses a
high-performance active design to achieve pristine
video, and hi-fi stereo audio.
The transmitter unit may be powered
by the host computer, via USB cable, or by using the
included external power supply. The receive unit
is powered by a second (included) external power supply.
Kit includes both sender and receiver units.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-VGA-F comes with a
two year limited warranty from the
manufacturer.
Intelix's Description
The Intelix DIGI-VGA-F balun set transmits
high-definition VGA video and high-fidelity analog audio
extended distances over inexpensive structured pair
cabling, such as Cat 5 or Cat 6. The DIGI-VGA-F balun
set includes a DIGI-VGA-S-F send balun, a DIGI-VGA-R-F
receive balun, two power supplies, and a USB power
cable. The kit is powered on both the send and receive
end with either 12 VDC power supplies or optional USB
power on the send end. The send balun provides local
audio/video outputs for added versatility, whereas the
receive balun features dual amplified audio/video
outputs for linking. In addition, the DIGI-VGA-R-F
receive balun provides brightness, contrast, and overall
picture quality adjustment for skew-free performance
over standard Cat 5 cabling.

Here is a good look at the rear
panels. In this photo, the receive unit is on the
top and the transmit unit is on the bottom.
In this connection example, a PC is
connected to two remote monitors and two remote powered
speakers via an Intelix DIGI-VGA-F. VGA video and stereo
audio is routed from the PC to the DIGI-VGA-F send
balun. A local monitor output provides local audio and
video. The signal is then routed over 850 feet of Cat 5
to the DIGI-VGA-F receive balun. A built-in
amplification circuit splits the audio and video to the
two destinations. The system is powered at both the send
and receive ends.
