The Audio Authority model 9A60 makes it simple to connect VGA style R/G/B/H/V video sources to High Definition Television (HDTV) monitors with Y/Pr/Pb component video inputs.
This high-quality device makes it possible to use a set top box, such as the RCA DTC-100 with display devices that do not have RGBHV inputs. It is also
possible to use an HDTV monitor as a computer monitor, even if the monitor only has Y/Pb/Pr inputs. (Some manufacturers label these connections as Y/Pr/Pb, Y Pb Pr, or Y Pr Pb).
Colorspace Conversion
If you have a television or other HDTV capable display device, you're probably interested in connecting it to as many high-definition sources as possible. A set-top box that outputs HDTV from over the air or satellite transmissions is one of the first of such sources that come to most owners' mind.
One of the better and least expensive of such boxes is the RCA DTC-100, but if your display does not include native support for the R/G/B/H/V colorspace output of the DTC-100, you will need a device like this Audio Authority 9A60 to make it work with your equipment. RCA offers a similar
device, but we have found that the Audio Authority device simply does a better job.
HDTV Computer Monitor
If you have been wishing that you could connect your computer to your HDTV, the 9A60 may be for you. Keep in mind that this device is not a format converter - it passes the sync timings and pixel content without modification. Your PC needs to have a graphics card that supports resolutions and

The vast majority of Windows applications work very well, but you should be aware that if you have an unusual application that takes control of the video away from Windows, that particular application may not be usable with an HDTV. This gadget has the potential to turn your HDTV into a
multimedia display device...the possibilities are almost endless!
