This is Audio Authority's AVAtrix Cat 5 HD Matrix
Distribution System,
Model AVX-561-NR, a whole-House Routing System w/ Component
Video and both digital and analog audio. This is
Audio Authority's flagship product. If you
consider elegance of design and functionally, you will
be hard-pressed to find any other system that puts such
a rich feature set and operational flexibility into a
single well-integrated modular system. There are
so many features that it may be hard to take it all in -
it may help to read the
1100-Series Brochure
to get an idea of how the various modules work together.
Audio Authority has combined their highly-respected electronic switching technology with a CAT-5 distribution system to create an amazingly flexible routing system. The system makes it simple to distribute high-definition component video at up to 1080p, as well as digital audio, stereo audio, and IR. Any
of the monitors can select between any of the six sources! Watch and listen to the same source at all remote locations, or watch/listen to any mix of the six sources at each remote location.
If that is not enough, the system can be expanded to handle up to 36
receiver units by stacking additional Model 1176 six-port Cat-5 Matrix Router Expanders. The system provides an IR pathway from each remote wallplate, making it possible to control the system from multiple locations. In addition, there is also support for a local monitor/audio.

The CAT-5 driver system can transmit video and audio up to 1000 feet without any frequency roll-off or signal attenuation, so colors and details are faithfully preserved for your maximum enjoyment.
Receiver units for the Model AVX-561-NR are sold separately - you can select the exact
combination of receiver styles that you prefer below. The standard AVX-561-NR system comes with a 4-port bus
cable, that can accommodate system expansion to as many
as 18 ports. If you plan to expand the system
beyond 18 ports, you will need to add an 802-568 7-port
bus cable.
Like most Audio Authority products, the Model AVX-561-NR comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

video connection of sources, and distributes HD
signals up to 1,000 feet away to convenient
Wallplates mounted wherever televisions are to
be located.

Homeowners - The AVAtrix is
perfect for sending your favorite media from a
central location to anywhere around your home.
Simply plug your sources into the AVAtrix, run
the Cat 5 cables to where you want to watch TV,
connect the Wallplates, and select what you'd
like to watch. It keeps electronic clutter out
of sight while delivering pristine high
definition anywhere you want it.

While it is certainly appropriate and
convenient to hire an installation specialist,
(as suggested in the next paragraph) the AVAtrix
system is not particularly difficult to install.
The driver unit requires many connections, but
certainly no more than a modern A/V receiver.
As for the receiver units, if you can install a
network jack, then you can just as easily
install an AVAtrix wallplate. We suggest
that you start by reading the
Quick
Start Guide and the
Installation and Operation
Manual, then decide if you can handle the job.

Note: While the
AVAtrix is ideal for new construction or an
existing home, it does require special knowledge
and tools to install. We suggest you contact a
local custom home installation specialist. Many

IR Router
The AVAtrix includes an IR Router, Model
1108, that is unique in the industry. The 1108
allows IR signals returned from a Wallplate to
control only the source currently routed to that
Wallplate output.

The 1176 HD Cat 5 Matrix Router
Expander adds six (6) matrix outputs to an AVAtrix
system.
One (1) 1176 is included with the system, and you may add up to five
additional expander units in order to accommodate as
many as 36 remote locations.
