The Intelix DIGI-VGASD VGA, Audio, IR/RS232 Balun Set is a VGA extender that offers more than one might immediately expect. For
example, the transmitter balun includes a VGA pass-though output, which is perfect for applications that would
benefit from a local monitor. Of course, the send balun can also transmit high-resolution VGA, as well as
stereo audio and IR/RS232 signals up to 350 feet over a single Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable. In addition, the receive balun includes two VGA outputs, making
it simple to drive either one or two monitors at the remote location.
To use the IR feature (instead of RS232), add the optional DIGI-VGASD-IREYE IR Receiver and
DIGI-VGASD-IREMT IR Emitter.
As with virtually all systems that are based upon Cat 5/6 cable technology, the Intelix DIGI-VGASD system
will work with virtually any Cat-type cabling, including Cat 5 and Cat 6, but range and/or bandwidth is directly
related to both distance and cable quality, so to get the highest resolutions at the greatest distance, you will want
high-quality cables.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-VGASD comes with a two-year limited warranty.

The Intelix DIGI-VGASD active balun set distributes VGA video, stereo audio, and control signals over a
single twisted pair cable, such as Cat 5 or Cat 6. The unit includes one send balun, one receive balun,
and two power supplies.
The DIGI-VGASD features 1600x1200 VGA video performance, high-fidelity 20Hz to 20kHz audio performance,
and IR or bi-directional RS232 extension up to 350 feet over a single twisted pair cable. The send balun
features local monitor support and the receive balun features dual outputs and built-in video equalization
ensuring skew-free video performance.

Example System: A computer sends VGA video, stereo audio, and RS232 to two remote monitors
over 350 feet of Cat 5 cable. The send balun provides local monitor and audio outputs. The receive balun splits
the signal to both outputs. Both the send and receive balun are powered.
