The Intelix DIGI-HDMI-4X2 4:2 HDMI Cat 5 Matrix
Distribution System is the newest member of the Intelix DigiCat Series.
Introduced at the CEDIA convention in September, this product
offers features that are not found in competing
products.
For example, if you take a look at the back panel,
you will find pairs of Cat 5 output jacks, as you would
expect from a Cat 5 based distribution system, but what
may not be immediately apparent is that the system also
has active HDMI outputs as well. This makes it
simple to add one or more local monitors, is addition to
the four remote monitors. This 4x2 HDMI matrix
system also includes IR pathways for each of the two
remote monitors, enabling remote control of the four
sources, as well as the distribution system itself.
The DIGI-HDMI-4X2 is HDMI version 1.3 capable as
well, making it a perfect choice for more advanced
systems. Advanced chipsets and firmware promise
superior HDCP compatibility and trouble-free operation.
CAT-5 receivers are sold separately (below), so you can get
exactly the functionality you need. The
DIGI-HDMI-HR-R is for HDMI (only) whereas the
DIGI-HDMI-IR-R includes IR functionality as well.
You may choose any combination that you prefer below.
As with virtually all systems that are based
upon Cat 5 cable technology, the Intelix HDMI Cat 5
Matrix Distribution System will work with virtually any
Cat 5 type cables, including Cat 5e and Cat 6, but range
and/or bandwidth is directly related to both distance
and cable quality, so to get the highest resolutions at
the greatest distance, you will want high-quality cables.
Like most Intelix products, the DIGI-HDMI-4X2-F comes with a
two year limited warranty from the
manufacturer.

DIGI-HDMI-4X2 Twisted Pair Matrix Switcher
The Intelix DIGI-HDMI-4X2 combines
professional-grade performance with
comprehensive control options, providing an
easy-to-use, flexible, and powerful solution for
high-definition audio/video distribution
applications. A true matrix switcher, the
DIGI-HDMI-4X2 features four HDMI inputs, two
HDMI outputs and two twisted pair extender
outputs. The matrix supports 1080i and 1080p
high-definition video and is HDMI 1.3b
compliant. Switching is controlled via a
diagnostic front panel interface or remotely via
RS232, IR, or Ethernet.
In addition, the DIGI-HDMI-4X2 features two
pass-through IR channels which distribute remote
IR commands from in-room controllers, through
compatible Intelix twisted pair extenders, up to
150 feet over twisted pair cable, and out of the
matrix, thereby allowing complete control remote
sources from the destination.
