device uses a high-performance passive design to deliver
crisp video and audiophile-quality sound. The Intelix
AVO-V2A2-WP-F Y/C Video and Stereo Audio Balun is an ideal
solution for surveillance and A/V intercom applications
as well as a wide range of corporate, school,
house of worship, auditorium, and residential
applications - just about any situation that involves
A/V distribution.
These units are sold singly, so you can purchase
pairs, or combine with
other V2A2-series baluns. Alternately, these Y/C
baluns may also be combined with
SVA2-series baluns for S-Video applications.
In addition, the AVO-V2A2-WP-F baluns are non-directional,
so two-way duplex video/audio setups are possible (see
the connection example below).
Notice that Intelix Baluns are designed to work
with standard unshielded CAT5, CAT6 or CAT7 cable -
shielded cable is not required!
Like most Intelix products, the AVO-V2A2-WP-F comes with a
two year limited warranty from the
manufacturer.

The Intelix AVO-V2A2-WP-F balun is an ideal solution
for transmitting two channels of composite video and
ultra-high quality stereo audio up to 2,200 feet over
structured cabling, such as Cat 5. Used in pairs or with
a rack-mountable Intelix AVO-V2A2-F balun, AVO-V2A2-WP-F
baluns replace bulky coaxial cable and utilize a
building's existing structured cabling network. The
AVO-V2A2-WP-F features female RCA connectors on a
standard Decora plate.

The Intelix AVO-V2A2-WP wall-plate balun

Intelix AVO-V2A2-WP-F Cat-5 Balun
In this connection example, an
Intelix AVO-V2A2-WP-F wallplate balun and an Intelix
AVO-V2A2-F rack-mountable balun connect a DVD player to
a remote plasma and an audio receiver. Audio and video
from the DVD player is balanced by the source balun,
transmitted over the Cat 5 cabling, and then unbalanced
by the receive balun. The audio from the DVD player is
sent to the audio receiver and the video is sent to the
plasma.
This connection example shows an AVO-V2A2-WP-F balun,
combined with an AVO-V2A2-F balun, used in a bi-directional
video and audio intercom setup. Video and audio
are transmitted from the camera at each end to a monitor
at the other end. In this way, both video and
audio can be transmitted in full duplex over a single
Cat-5 type cable.
