The Gefen ADA-HDMI-MATE Adapter makes it possible to connect multiple HDMI cables together, in order to accomplish longer runs between components such as DVD players, satellite, cable, terrestrial set-top boxes, or any HDMI enabled equipment.
This elegant device ensures error-free, bit-perfect digital transmissions so you get the best video and sound that your system can deliver. Please notice, however, that this is a passive device, so each cable coupled in this manner must be considered in terms of the maximum cable run supported by your particular equipment.
HDMI Benefits
HDMI is similar to DVI in some respects, but the HDMI interface uses a smaller connector than DVI. Both DVI and HDMI specifications can handle high-bandwidth and uncompressed video. HDMI can also accommodate multi-channel digital audio, all with one cable.
