You can think of the Audio Authority model 1154B as the evolution of the legendary
1154A, bringing enhanced performance and new features
in an elegant satin finished all-metal case design.
The front panel features touch-sensitive controls, including discrete buttons
for each input. Like the 1154A, the 1154B retains Audio Authority's
excellent AutoSelectTM
feature, for the ultimate in source switching convenience, but also adds
discrete IR remote control for even greater flexibility and control.
Discrete input commands make it easy to control the 1154B with universal remote
control macros.
The sleek metal casing encloses all-new electronics, featuring even higher
video bandwidth, so it can easily handle all HDTV resolutions from 480i to 1080p
without signal degradation. All inputs are AC coupled to prevent DC offset
problems that can occur with certain cable and satellite boxes.

With it's new streamlined jack arrangement for the rear panel, the 1154B
switches component video, analog stereo audio, and your choice of coaxial or
optical TOSLink digital audio for up to four sources. The 1154B also
seamlessly converts between coaxial and optical digital audio, providing
simultaneous outputs for both formats, solving any number of digital audio
compatibility problems.
