The Audio Authority model 1154A adaptive signal-sensing electronic switcher provides high-performance automatic
switching for HDTV Component Video, as well as digital and analog audio sources!
The model 1154A is an updated version of Audio Authority's well-regarded model 1154. By comparison, the 1154A
has improved EMI shielding, for even lower noise and more reliable switching. In addition, input selection criteria
is now user adjustable via DIP switches, adding even greater flexibility. It's a great update to what was already
a class-leading product!
This innovative switcher expands the input capacity of any receiver, pre-amp, processor, or HDTV, providing four
sets of automatically switched inputs for Y/Pb/Pr video, stereo analog audio, as well as digital audio. It automatically
selects the active input, and also includes a switch for manual override.
As a bonus, the device also provides seamless conversion of the digital audio medium so optical or coaxial digital
sources may be used interchangeably and transparently.
Audio Authority's exclusive Adaptive Signal SensingTM technology uses multiple criteria to decide when to
switch sources, and adapts to your activity patterns, customizing its switching behavior over time.
The high-bandwidth circuitry ensures high-performance switching for your high-bandwidth Y/Pb/Pr HDTV format component
video. The 1154A has plenty of bandwidth to handle all consumer video formats, including (but not limited to)
480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. It also switches stereo analog audio, and digital audio in both optical and
coaxial formats. When a new source becomes active, it simultaneously switches the audio and video signals to
that input. Multi-color front panel LEDs indicate source availability. The physical size of the device
is 8.5" x 5.5" x 3.25".
Like most Audio Authority products, the Model 1154A comes with a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

High Bandwidth Component Video
The high bandwidth circuitry accepts HDTV component video (YPbPr), stereo analog audio, and digital audio
in both optical and coaxial formats, and switches all audio and video signals simultaneously when a new source
becomes active. Digital audio signals are converted automatically to the desired format. Up to four sources
may be connected to one receiver/video display system through the 1154A. A manual select button is provided
to override the 1154A’s automatic selection. Multi-color front panel LEDs indicate source availability.

The Audio Authority 1154A. Dimensions are 8.5" x 5.5" x 3.25"
This perspective view shows the mounting flange, which may be used with the included rubber
feet, or to mount the unit to a surface, using the included screws.
The front panel has multi-color LEDs for power and input selection status, as well as a push-button
switch for manual source selection. The recessed areas below the source LEDs may be used to label your sources. Labels
are included.
This picture shows the back panel. If you zoom in, you can see the four component video inputs
on the left, video/audio outputs in the center, and audio inputs on the right.
Here you can see the DIP switches that allow customization of the automatic input selection
criteria. The default settings work perfectly for most customers, but this powerful feature can be invaluable for
those who need the extra flexibility.
